Hey! My dear future English writers,
It is almost like the first day at school! Exciting and nervous! And great thanks to Joyen, the administrator, for giving me such an invaluable opportunity to host E-Writing! It is also such an HONOUR!
My name is Charlie, the host of this forum, and I am so eager to know my new friends here in this English writing forum.
You may wonder now why I am the host, why not other people? Well, that's because I am an early bird and often start out doing things a little earlier than others. I wake up at 7 am in the early morning and settle down for writing during the following hours really soon! And most important of all, I found this place and set my mind to writing English here a bit earlier than people like you.
Do I have to write everything in English here? What if my writing is so poorly rendered, such as making lots of unintelligible mistakes? Or maybe there goes in your mind one more simple but very puzzling question: How to write?
Well, yes, you have to write everything in English because with this rule, the ideal English atmosphere is preserved. I am not saying that you shall totally drop our mother tongue here, but you can write Chinese when you think it is necessary and it does not spoil the little language environment we are all trying to help build.
It does not really matter to make many mistakes for the beginners at the very start, when people ask me how I think of those countless inevitable errors I commit in my writing, I always say: “Yes, I do make mistakes in my writing but I never hesitate to have a good try for a better one with less mistakes in it."
Remember, no one is born a perfect writer. And no one really knows how to write until he or she gets his or her first try and keeps trying. So I suggest you do the same thing. Practice makes perfect.
Keeping a diary and a good habit of reading plus using a word processor will also help you a lot in your long-term writing goal.
Anyway, I love to write and I love to have you joining me!
Let's just take an early start of sowing and then we shall reap for the rest of the day!
Best wishes
Warmly,
CharlietheAprilfool
