[原创]Monks fall in love

Are you still looking for true love? Or do you feel frustrated by your lover's refusal to stay with you every minute? If so, you should gain some courage after you read this strange news.

Two Buddhist monks abandoned their vows after they fell in love with a pair of teenage girls who sold beer around their temple in central Cambodia.

The two monks, both 19 -- gave up their monastic lives after the chief monk at their temple accused them of secretly courting the girls in violation of Buddhist precepts.

Ninety percent of Cambodia's 13 million people are Buddhist. About 60,000 monks live in more than 4,000 pagodas across the country.

Let Love Prevail

Hi Billgate,

Cool name! And so happy to see one more passionate guy joining us here!

I guess you are trying to enlighen us on the magic power of love, considering the above article you posted. Monks falling in love with girls? Or simply teenage puppy crush? I think it is not hard to find out.

Buddhas are supposed to be full of love, instead of tearing men apart from women or the other way around! Imagine one day all the people in the world had been successfully converted to Buddhism with no more men marring women, then there would have been no more babies being born, which could probably disasteriously make the world end up peopleless in the near future! Unless those old monks or nuns could be permitted to continue their line by legalising cloning or other possible superior life preserving techonologies. What a world!

I dare say most people in China must have heard of Buddism as a religion delivering people from endless bitterness and hardships spiritully as well as physically. But I can hardly imagine a world where men and women are forbidden to love each other. Is not the whole world composed of men and women (except for a few gender-unidentified new people)? Seperation between them could only mean bitterness and denying human nature---to love. We leave behind our parents and wives and children, just to become a loveless vegetarian? Is not that cruel? I almost agree with every bit of what the Buddha says to enlighten us, but ban on love, marriage and sex, no way! If anything sexual is out of sinful desire, then love is most evil for are't we born out of love and sex? Don't we make the world go around by love? Is not the world getting better through love? We all adore Monkey King, an invented character in Wu Chengen's Journey to the West through which this heroic monkey has become a household name in China all because of his declared love of justice and strong hatred against inequality. Though he later is converted to Buddism and at last becomes a Buddha, but he must be the most unqualified. How do you like his Master, Monk Tong? Personally speaking, he is the root of all bitterness and misforfortune for either his 3 disciples or a lot of innocent people who get killd by evil monsters purely because of his presence in a village, a kindom or on his way somewhere.

All in all, I am not against Buddism. I just want make a suggestion to all the Buddas if they would deign to listen to me from Heaven, please do let those teenage monks fall in love or when recruiting new members, please take the most unlovable and unloving ones, like the well-known character in The Tale of the White Lady, Fahai, who is such a loyal and pious monk.
