DREAM
Sitting in the classroom, I am full of hope. In the future, exactly, after one year, I will find a job of my own which can independents me from my parents since then.
Yesterday, I received a call from an intimate friend who played with me in my childhood, he told me that “what a nice thing to study in university.” Simultaneously, I said “what a nice thing it is to earn money at this like us.” Then we both burst into laugh.
For him, it is a pity that he gave up his study when he finished his senior-high school. He is a smart student, as I always believe, because when teacher asked a question, he could always give the correct answer before others. But in 2003, he chose to be a migrant worker after knowing that he could enter a common level university, and I entered college.
I can still remember that night before I set foot on the road to my journey. He came to my home and asked me to drink with him. Frankly speaking, I am not a person suit for drinking, but to my surprise, I drunk as much as a wine-lover. I don’t know why, maybe it was because I am happy and the precious friendship between us as well. We both knew that tomorrow we would split up with each other to chase our aims in different places and in different ways. After the bottles was drunk up, we, silently, light a cigarette, then I said “wish you find a good job or way to earn money as much as you want, so when I am out of money, I can turn to you for help.” We both burst into laugh.
To have a company of his own is his dream, but today, from his laugh, I can obviously hear his weather-beatened voice and his regret. Perhaps it is because we were young and full of ambition. we have the courage to image and to pursue. For lack of experience, it seems doomed for him to fail his dream when he stepped into the society with no regret Compared with him, I should feel lucky that I had chosen to enter the university to further my study.
