Dear Shirleyzh,
I really appreciate the persistant effort you make in learning English and strong determination you have for achieving your goal though you think your English is still not very up to your expectations after those two years of hardworking.
As is known to all of us, everything takes time and so does English learning! Two years of learning English whether as a major or just as a required course, to me, is no more than a preparatory phase for the study of tomorrow. Since my graduation from college, I have never stopped for one day reading, listening, and vocabulary building (No kidding). And up till now, it has been six years of learning English as my major, but I still find my English not good enough to my heart''s content. Language learning seems to be a lifetime undertaking, which we shall learn to enjoy instead of seeking an end to it. There is no end, actually. So, there is nothing really for you to be depressed about. You just keep doing the right like speaking as often as you can, writing as much as possible as the other students do. There will be light at the end of the tunnel. Believe me.
Sorry, I have to stop short here, for I guess there must be waiting out there quite a few Enlgish learners hoping to exchange their ideas with us or to share with us their own experiences on how to learn good English. Shirleyzh, you sure will benefit a lot from their writing as well as your own.
All my dear friends, why wait to let your own good ideas shine here but always listen to a dummy like me?
Best wishes,
CharlietheAprilfool
