UNobligated Memory
It had been the past for several years. Externally, the damage is vanishing gradually, neverthless, the injuries are engraved in people’s heart, it was not only the victims’ misfortunes, the United States’ disaster(catastrophe), but also the whole world’s. Yes, I am not an American, but firstly I am a being, please allow me to mourn and pray for all the souls in the heaven.
Let’s turn back to the convulsing moment, which should be remembered by the whole human race.
“Today we bury his body but not his spirit, we bury his hands but not his work, we bury his heart but not his love. ” A firefighter was found by his fellows under the debris, dead. No time to cry, his friend said such words above. His friend was still digging, maybe not just for the survivors, he was trying his best to do the rest job unfinished by his dear friends, he did his part with all his heart and soul, and, what about you?
What is the essence of a nation? What is the national cohesion? What is the consciousness of a nation? Facing the 9.11, Americans did an excellent model to the whole world.
“By contributing now, you honour the spirit of America that has brought so many cultures to these shores, and reaffirm our nation’s commitment and tolerance goes hand in hand with freedom.” A famous personage gave a public appeal. We have different skin colours, we have different eye colours, we also have different hair colours, but one thing made us acquainted with each other--- America! That is the charming of this country, also the glory of being the citizen of her.
To have a stirring of emotions, we had so many heroes, known and unknown. They saw you were in trouble, in danger, “Grab on! Grab on!” A warm hand stretched out, also a life was rescued. In such that occasion, even a flshlight was regarded as the “hope from angel ”. Many survivors attempted to be after the savior, often, they had gone. That is the most beautiful scene in such a material society, it reflected the most shining side of humanity.
My belief changed, because I found I am so selfish nefore: “In the future, has a good job, has a satisfactory family, to show my filial piety to my own parents, that is all!” I am shamed. Somebody would say: “Oh, come on! You are not God! You are just a common guy among us!” He is right, but he is completely irresponsible as a member in our society! He is right, I am insignificantly
small, but what I want to say is that: “Do your own part! Remember that God wiyh you!” I do not believe God, but I wish God bless us!

Notice: All the words were written after I watched the 9.11 anniversary ceremony “Commemoration of Recalls” living performance by many many superstars of the world. A benefit performance, salute them!
By the way, the play was ended with such a scene: the Stars and Stripes standed on the depris towering like a giant, not just a symbol, but an incarnation!
