Life is a miracle
Life is a miracle itself.
God created us human beings, he not only designed his human beings in person, but also infused all the precious things into the new living creatures; he bestowed us human beings emotions and minds, he offered us human beings almost perfect body, and the most important present is wisdom, the most powerful and sharpest weapon in the nature world, it is why we human beings can survive till now and become the master of the beautiful planet. Maybe God thought that we human beings are so fantastic that this kind of unexceptionable survivings may endanger his ruling position, so he omitted an defect on we human’s body on purpose-----we were so weak in strength and we had so feeble defense.
How should we face the lasting dangers around us? The predictable traffic accidents, the endless conflicts and wars, more and more diseases which made us feel quite helpless… all such things made our hands and minds out of control.
I said, we human beings have the sharpest weapon in the world. So, we conquered a lot.
During 1960s-1970s, a common American middle aged male adult—马修史考特 became the focus of the mass media, because he is the direct benefitor of the first real hand transplanting operation in the United States. Years ago, his left hand was blowed up by the fire works, so he must get used to the life with the artifical limb, the cold and no-feeling thing. “That is not good, it did not help you too much, year, it can just be called a kind of decoration… ” he said. So, when the medical research team asked for the volunteer to be operated on such operation, the real hand transplanting operation, he showed interests, under his wife’s agreement, he did. 18 experts take such an adventure, which lasts for fourteen and a half hours, they succeeded! The suffer, after he woke up, when he saw his hand again, he cried to his wife, “…It is so amazing! You cannot imagin that a man like me are so crave to reget a new hand, no matter what I will pay for it…”
Now, with this donated hand, he can do a lot of things he cannot do with his artifical limb before, like opening the door with the key, holding his lovely kids again… “…I must have the pills to restrain my own immune system, you know, it’s very hard to have dealing with… so, the cost is that I will lose my resistance to some diseases, especially the common cold. I am much easier to be attacked and more difficult torecover. Another hidden danger is my long time relying on the medicines will shorten my life… all these, I don’t care, and I also do not feel regret, I think it is worth!” He is so happy to have his new life with his new hand now.
Life is incredible, so beautiful, especial after you get it again intactly. Life is a miracle.
I always told myself that I am lucky, more lucky than millions and billions of people. Some friends said to me that they were disappointed to their own lives. After their complainments ended, I often smiled to them, “Go back to watch Band of Brothers,
or Schinder's List, or sth like that ,what you shoud do is to learn to love you life!”
And they really do like what I said. hehe
